3,251 New Cases, 972 Cases Recovered

Taking into account the situation of the third wave of COVID-19 which is currently occurring in Brunei Darussalam, the Ministry of Health's Press Conference will be held daily on working days starting on the 22nd February 2022 to enable the public to get the latest information and submit any questions for further clarification. Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Doctor Haji Awang Mohd Isham bin Haji Jaafar also shared that 8 COVID-19 cases are in Category 4, while one case has returned to the grace and mercy of Allah in the past 24 hours and is not categorised as death due to COVID-19. The media conference took place yesterday afternoon at Dewan Al-Afiah, Ministry of Health.

 

3,251 new cases have been reported yesterday, bringing the total cases to 41,049. Of the new cases, 2,521 were from ART test results that was uploaded to the Ministry of Health's portal, whereas 730 were from 5,590 RT-PCR laboratory tests performed in the past 24 hours.

 

972 cases have recovered yesterday, taking the total recovered cases to 21,555 cases and the total active cases are 19,382 cases. At present, the bed occupancy rate in isolation centres nationwide is 8.8 percent where 209 active cases are placed in isolation centres. 19,173 positive cases are currently undergoing home self-isolation.
