You know it’s not going to be your day when you’re randomly struck down by a catfish while walking through a park.

It sounds far-fetched but that is the unlikely fate that befell a woman in Philadelphia while she travelled to meet up with her running group.

Lisa Lobree told The Inquirer: ‘Suddenly I was slammed by something. I was like, ‘What?!’ I was freaking out.

‘It definitely hurt me and I didn’t know what happened,’

The experience left her shocked, with a cut above her eye and in need of a shower.

‘I smelled really bad. I was so disgusted,’ she said. ‘I was a little bit shocked, actually.’

Although no one is quite sure why a five pound catfish fell from the sky, the suggestion is it may have been dropped by a bird from the top of a tree.
