A Royal Brunei Armed Forces, RBAF senior officer was promoted to the rank of Brigadier General effective today. The promotion was by the consent of His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam.

The insignia presentation was officiated by Major General Udara Dato Seri Pahlawan Haji Hamzah bin Haji Sahat, Commander of the RBAF, for the promotion of Colonel Udara Haji Alirupendi bin Haji Perudin, Deputy Commander of Royal Brunei Air Force. Present was Yang Berhormat Pehin Datu Lailaraja Retired Major General Dato Paduka Seri Haji Awang Halbi bin Haji Mohd Yussof, Second Minister of Defence. The ceremony took place at the Officers' Mess in Bolkiah Garrison.
