Also in conjunction with International Women's Day, Bank Islam Brunei Darussalam, BIBD through SME 360 Series of the Sustainable Nation Campaign continued their Eco Chat Series with a special talk. Themed 'Gender Equality Today for a Sustainable Tomorrow', the event was jointly organised with the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports.

 

In her speech, Yang Berhormat Dayang Khairunnisa binti Awang Haji Ash'ari, Member of the Legislative Council said various initiatives in sustainability in Brunei Darussalam are female-led including Non-governmental Organisations, NGOs; government and academia. The discussion involved youth organisations and the Brunei Climate Change Secretariat to further elevate education and awareness efforts and ensuring the realisation of the government's aspirations and goals towards 2030 and Net Zero 2050. Also joining was Dayang Hajah Nor Ashikin binti Haji Johari, Permanent Secretary for Society and Culture at the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports.
