The Brunei Film Festival kicks off with a Symposium titled "Islamic Film Genre: Questions, Possibilities and Implications for the Bruneian Screen Industry". The symposium aims to pave a Roadmap for Academic Investigation on the Bruneian Islamic screen identity.

The symposium also saw a discussion on Islamic Film Management and concluded with a filmmaking workshop, where participants applied and practiced what had been discussed. The films will be screened on the 30th of March 2022. The Symposium was held yesterday morning at Yayasan Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Complex in the capital.
