Dayang Nurzaidah binti Harun, Trained Religious Teacher from Pengiran Anak Puteri Hajah Masna Secondary School in Kampung Sungai Akar emerged champion in the National Oratory Competition in conjunction with the 38th National Day Celebration. The finals took place yesterday morning at Balai Sarmayuda, Language and Literature Bureau in Berakas. Among the competition's objective was to foster love and patriotism for the country and strengthen the correct use of the standard Malay Language.

 

Second and Third places were respectively won by Dayang Muslimah binti Mahadi, an undergraduate of Sultan Sharif Ali Islamic University, UNISSA and Awang Mohamad Hajib Sarhan bin Awang Mohamad Harkani, Universiti Brunei Darussalam, from UBD. Prizes were presented by Dayang Hajah Nor Ashikin binti Haji Johari, Permanent Secretary for Community and Culture at the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports.
