Awang Haji Abdul Rahman bin Haji Abdul Manaf and Dayang Hajah Norzirwatul Fadhilla Binti Haji Puteh, emerged as respective champions in the Musabaqah Al-Quran for Men and Women Aged 40 Years and Above for Mosques, Suraus and Religious Halls Nationwide.  Held in conjunction with the 38th Brunei Darussalam National Day Celebration, the Musabaqah took place at the Mohammad Jamalul Alam Mosque, Kuala Belait.

The Musabaqah was organized by the Ministry of Religious Affairs through the Mosque Affairs Department and the Mosque's Takmir Committee. Prizes were presented by Awang Haji Abdul Rajid Bin Haji Md Salleh, Acting Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Religious Affairs. The Musabaqah is hoped to cultivate the spirit of love in reading Al-Quran among the participants and further appreciate the contents of Al-Quran so that it can be implemented in religious, national and state life.
