18 COVID-19 cases are in Category 4, requiring oxygen assistance and under close monitoring. While 6 cases are in Category 5. Meanwhile, 1 COVID-19 case has passed away. Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Doctor Haji Awang Mohd Isham bin Haji Jaafar, Minister of Health informed the matter during the Media Conference on the Latest COVID-19 Situation, at Dewan Al-Afiah, Ministry of Health.

 

A total of 2,553 new cases were reported yesterday, bringing the total number of cases to 116,924 cases. Of the new cases, 1,855 were from ART test results that were uploaded to the BruHealth application, whereas 698 were from 3,195 RT-PCR laboratory tests carried out. Meanwhile, 5,413 cases have recovered, bringing the total number of recovered cases to 89,174 cases with total active cases at 27,579. The bed occupancy rate in isolation centres nationwide is 6.0 percent whereby 223 active cases are placed in isolation centres and hospitals. Meanwhile 27,356 positive cases are currently undergoing home self-isolation. The achievement of the National Vaccination Programme for those receiving three doses of the vaccine is 58.8 percent of the country's total population while the rates of one dose and two doses are over 94 percent respectively.
