2,010 New Cases, 5,600 Cases Recovered

16 COVID-19 cases are in Category 4, 7 cases in Category 5 and 5 cases have passed away. Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Doctor Haji Awang Mohd Isham bin Haji Jaafar, Minister of Health stated the matter at the media conference on the latest COVID-19 situation at Dewan Al-Afiah, Ministry of Health.

 

2,010 new cases have been reported yesterday, taking the total cases to 118,892. Of the new cases, 1,718 were from ART test results that were uploaded to the BruHealth application, whereas 292 were from 2 thousand 501 RT-PCR laboratory tests. Meanwhile, 5,600 cases have recovered, bringing the total recovered cases to 94,774 cases with 23,984 cases remaining active.

 

At present, the bed occupancy rate in isolation centres nationwide is 6.4 percent where 224 active cases are placed in isolation centres and hospitals. 23,760 positive cases are currently undergoing home self-isolation. As of 15th March 2022, 59 percent of the total population have received three doses of COVID-19 vaccine, while those who have received one dose and two doses is respectively more than 94 percent. There was no violation of the movement restrictions nationwide
