(KPL) Xieng Khuang has been selected as City of Charm of the Lao PDR for the upcoming 19th China-ASEAN Expo - CAEXPO scheduled to be held in Nanning, China on Sep 16-19.

CAEXPO, one of the most important exhibitions of ASEAN and the Government of China, aims to make the China-ASEAN Free Trade Area a reality.

The Lao PDR has been participating in the China-ASEAN Expo every year since 2004.

CAEXPO 2022 will continue to be held in a hybrid mode, physically in Nanning, and online.

The Lao PDR’s City of Charm title is rotated among the provinces in the country. Discussions have been held to reach agreement on the design of the pavilion that represents the characteristics of the dominated Xieng Khuang. The idea is to make the province as most attractive to the visitors of the exhibition as possible.
