The Ministry of Religious Affairs held a Tahlil Ceremony for the late parents of His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam, Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar 'Ali Saifuddien Sa'adul Khairi Waddien; Al-Marhumah Duli Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Damit and His Majesty's son, Al-Marhum His Royal Highness Prince Haji 'Abdul Azim.

In attendance was Yang Berhormat Pehin Udana Khatib Dato Paduka Seri Setia Ustaz Haji Awang Badaruddin bin Pengarah Dato Paduka Haji Awang Othman, Minister of Religious Affairs. The ceremony began with the reading of Surah Yaasin, followed by Tahlil and Doa Arwah. Also present was Pengiran Dato Seri Paduka Haji Bahrom bin Pengiran Haji Bahar, Deputy Minister of Religious Affairs. Over 200 staff of the Ministry of Religious Affairs attended the ceremony.
