BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN

The return of face-to-face school sessions takes into account the readiness of the schools to operate as well as compliance with SOPs and guidelines set by the Ministry of Health as well as perform ART screening tests as stipulated.

The Minister of Education said that in order to ensure the health and safety of students, teachers and school staff, the Ministry of Education also informed that the frequency of ART screening tests for students, teachers and school staff is increased from two times a week to three times a week. For this purpose, the supply of ART will be distributed by the Ministry of Education to all schools under the Ministry of Education and through the respective ministries for Religious Schools and Arabic Schools as well as Special Centres.

Towards the opening of the face-to-face school session which is now extended to students aged 5 to 11, the Ministry of Education will give their full support and cooperation so that the school session can run safely and smoothly for the benefit of the students. The Ministry of Education will continue to work closely with the relevant parties, in ensuring the well-being and safety of education will always be maintained. The Ministry would also like to advise parents and guardians of students to always monitor the health of their children and ensure that they do not experience any symptoms such as coughs, colds and others before going to school.
