Crown Prince Challenge Trophy Expect 200 Golfers

Local and foreign golfers are welcome to tee off at the 11th Challenge Trophy of Duli Yang Teramat Mulia Paduka Seri Pengiran Muda Mahkota for Pengiran Muda Mahkota Al-Muhtadee Billah Fund for Orphans (DANA) Charity tournament on October 28-30 at the Royal Brunei Golf and Country Club, Jerudong.
Dato Paduka Lim Beng Thai, managing director of tournament organisers Boustead Sdn Bhd, said prizes worth of more than $120,000 await.
These include any golfer who hits a hole in one for Hole 3 ($20,000 cash from Volvo Trucks), Hole 8 (a brand new Nissan Teanan 3.5L), Hole 13 (B$20,000 cash from UD Trucks) and Hole 16 brand new Suzuki 4WD).
The green fee for the first session of tee off is $120 inclusive of meals and a goodie bag.
For the second game, participants will get a $10 discount and $100 for the third.
Nissan and Suzuki owners's registration fee is fixed at $100.
All proceeds will go to the DANA orphan's fund.
The categories are Overall Cross, Overall Nett, Division A (handicap 0-10), Division B (handicap 11-18) and Division C (handicap 19-24).
There is also a VIP and Seniors Category for Gross and Nett.
The number of partcipants is expected to exceed the 200 that took part last year.
The 2012 winner of the Challenge Trophy for Duli Yang Teramat Mulia Paduka Seri Pengiran Muda Mahkota for Dana Pengiran Al-Muhtadee Billah orphan's Fund Charity tournament was Lt Col (Rtd) Pengiran Haji Ali bin Pengiran Haji Tuah.
Those interested can obtain the registration forms at Boustead's showroom in Beribi and Kuala Belait as well as Royal Brunei Golf and Country Club before the deadline on October 20.
