Media Conference On Latest COVID-19 Situation

On 13th April 2022, 671 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine were given to children aged 5 to 11, bringing total vaccinations administered to 8,239 doses, which is 19.2 percent of children in the age group. Meanwhile, 62.5 percent of the country's population have received three doses of the vaccine. Yang Berhormat Dato  Seri  Setia Doctor Haji Awang  Mohd Isham bin Haji Jaafar, Minister of Health stated the matter at a media conference on the latest COVID-19 situation in the country yesterday afternoon at  Dewan Al-Afiah, Ministry of Health.

 

A part of the vaccination was given through the COVID-19 Mobile Vaccination Clinic service which is currently still carried out according to the set schedule where 5,654 doses have been administered since the service began on 11th October 2021. Members of the public who needs the service can directly contact their respective Village Heads who will contact the Ministry of Health for further arrangements. Public requests will be given in turn.

 

187 new cases were reported, in which 161 cases were results from ART and 26 cases from 752 RT-PCR lab tests. Total number of cases reported in Brunei Darussalam to date is 139,465 cases. 1 case in Category 5. 521 cases have recovered, bringing total recovered cases to 137,184 cases. The total number of active cases are 2,064 cases, in which 43 cases are currently treated in hospitals, whereas 2,021 cases are currently on home self-isolation. 1 COVID-19 case has passed away in which the case is categorised as death not due to COVID-19.
