Media Conference on Latest COVID-19 Situation

On 14th April 2022, 1,077 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine were given to children aged 5 to 11, bringing total vaccinations administered to 9,316 doses, which is 21.7 percent of children in the age group. Meanwhile, 62.6 percent of the country's population have received three doses of the vaccine. Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Doctor Haji Awang Mohd Isham bin Haji Jaafar, Minister of Health stated the matter at a media conference on the latest COVID-19 situation in the country yesterday AFTERNOON at Dewan Al-Afiah, Ministry of Health.
172 new cases were reported, in which 149 cases were results from ART and 23 cases from 935 RT-PCR lab tests. Total number of cases reported in Brunei Darussalam to date is 139,637. Three cases are in Category 5. 596 cases have recovered, bringing total recovered cases to 137,780. The total number of active cases are 1,640, in which 47 are currently treated in hospitals, whereas 1,593 cases are currently on home self-isolation.
