Communities in the country are always attentive towards the welfare and well-being of the underprivileged, orphans, senior citizens and the destitute, with donations continue to pour for the said groups especially in preparation for the upcoming Hari Raya Aidilfitri.

Yesterday morning, 62 orphans from Kampung Tanah Jambu, Kampung Salambigar, Kampung Sungai Hanching, Kampung Sungai Tilong and Kampung Manggis received donations via drive-thru at the Koperasi Persatuan TIBA, KOTIBA Salambigar Petrol Station. The donations were presented by Haji Omar bin Haji Mohd Tahir, Chairman of KOTIBA.

Meanwhile, Pasar Raya Orbit Sendirian Berhad also held drive-thru donations for 80 orphans, senior citizens and the destitute yesterday. The contributions comprising financial aid and a carton of soft drink to each recipient were handed over by Awang Ali Kaber, Awang Ferose Khan and Awang Annuar Ali, members of the Teeyam Group Management.
