Media Conference on Latest COVID-19 Situation

1,123 doses of COVID-19 vaccine were given to children aged 5 to 11 years old, bringing the total vaccinations administered to 14,641 doses, which is 34.1 percent of children in this age group. The Minister at the Prime Minister's Office and Second Minister of Finance and Economy stated the matter at a media conference on the latest COVID-19 situation in the country yesterday afternoon. Joining the media conference at Dewan Al-Afiah, Ministry of Health was Yang Berhormat Pehin Orang Kaya Seri Kerna Dato Seri Setia Doctor Haji Awang Abu Bakar bin Haji Apong, Minister of Home Affairs.

 

Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Doctor Awang Haji Mohd Amin Liew bin Abdullah stated that 150 new cases have been reported yesterday. 139 cases were from ART tests and 11 others were from 910 RT-PCR laboratory tests. This brings the total cases in the country to 140,873. 2 cases are in Category 5, and 114 cases have recovered, taking the total recovered cases to 139,523. 1,132 cases remain active, in which 22 cases are currently treated in hospitals, and 1,110 others cases are currently undergoing home self-isolation.
