Brunei Darussalam is currently in the Inter-Monsoon phase which is the transition period after the Northeast Monsoon and before entering the Southwest Monsoon. During this Inter-monsoon phase, the weather condition in the country is generally sunny during the day, while thunderstorms potentially occur over the inland areas in the afternoon and spreading towards the coastal and sea areas of the country at night.

 

Thunderstorm events, can be heavy and gusty at times and there is risk of flash floods or flooding during this Inter-monsoon phase. Brunei Darussalam Weather Situation Active weather condition is forecasted starting yesterday until Sunday, the 1st of May 2022, due to active development of rain clouds. Occasional showers and thundershowers are expected, with wind gust up to 45 kilometres per hour during or near heavy showers or thundershowers. Sea state is generally slight, below 1 metre. Members of the public, road users and fishermen are advised to always be up to date with the latest weather forecast, advisory and warning issued by Brunei Darussalam Meteorological Department, and to take necessary actions to ensure safety.
