Religious activities continue to be held by various parties in the country during the final days of Ramadhan. 50 Muallaf or new converts from the four districts were feted yesterday morning at the Khatam Al-Quran Ceremony for Converts Nationwide in conjunction with Ramadhan 1443 Hijrah. The ceremony organized by the Muallaf Development Division, Muallaf Welfare in collaboration with the Districts Da'wah Unit was held at the Conference Hall, Islamic Da'wah Center.
Present was Awang Haji Mohd Serudin bin Haji Timbang, Deputy Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Religious Affairs. The ceremony is a culmination of the programme with new converts in rural areas held during Ramadhan at da'wah posts, religious halls and da'wah activity houses in the four districts.
A Khatam Al-Quran Ceremony was also held yesterday morning by Pusat Ehsan Al-Ameerah Al-Hajjah Maryam. Present was Pengiran Datin Hjh Noraini binti Pengiran Dipa Negara Laila Diraja Pengiran Haji Abdul Momin, Executive Trustee of Pusat Ehsan. The ceremony concided with the Presentation of Donations to 47 orphans as well as those in need.
Sultan Sharif Ali Islamic University, UNISSA's Fire and Rescue Cadet Team, yesterday afternoon also held the Tadarus and Khatam Al-Quran Ceremony at the University's surau. It was attended by 35 members of the Fire and Rescue Cadet Team.
