In conjunction with Ramadhan, the Yayasan Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah presented donations in the form of money and food amounting to $150,400 to 150 families comprising senior citizens and those in need throughout the country through the Ihsan Programme of Yayasan Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah. The programme is in line with the Yayasan Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah's strategic goal in balancing the care and attention for the basic necessities of those in need. The donations presentation will be held in stages for two days starting yesterday.

The contributions to several villages in the Brunei Muara District for Zone 1 were presented by Yang Berhormat Pehin Datu Lailaraja Retired Major General Dato Paduka Seri Haji Awang Halbi bin Haji Mohd. Yussof, Second Minister of Defence as Chairman of the Yayasan Board of Directors.

Meanwhile in Zone 2, the donations were handed over by Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Doctor Haji Awang Mohammad Isham bin Haji Jaafar, Minister of Health as Deputy Chairman of the Yayasan Board of Directors. It is hoped that the donations will help alleviate the expenses in providing for the needs of the family.

While in Zone 3, the contributions were presented by Yang Berhormat Retired Major General Dato Paduka Seri Awang Haji Aminuddin Ihsan bin Pehin Orang Kaya Saiful Mulok Dato Seri Paduka Haji Abidin, Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports as a Member of Yayasan's Board of Directors and Chairman of the Yayasan Assistance Review Committee.
