A company is charged with a $100 compound fine for violating the Minor Offences Act Chapter 30 Section 12(1)(D) which is leaving and dumping construction materials without permission in a public place.

The compound was issued during a monitoring carried out in the area under the purview of the Belait District Office. The company was given 7 days to settle the fine. In default, the company will be brought to court and fined $1,000 for the first offence and $3,000 and imprisonment not exceeding 3 months for the second and subsequent offences.
