BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN

Visiting the grave during Aidilfitri is not simply a tradition but a religious act much advocated by Islam as a way of remembering death. Verily everything that lives will return to Allah the Creator.

During Hari Raya Aidilfitri, the victory celebration after the month long fast in Ramadhan, Muslims visit cemeteries to read Surah Yasin and Tahlil and supplicate for the souls of the departed ones. Some come alone while others make the visit with their families. Following the COVID-19 pandemic, the public must continue to maintain physical or social distancing and obey the guidelines on Celebrating Aidilfitri during COVID-19.
