Media Conference on Latest COVID-19 Situation

249 new cases were reported, in which 236 were results from ART's conducted and 13 were from 429 RT-PCR laboratory tests. Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Doctor Haji Awang Mohd Isham bin Haji Jaafar, Minister of Health stated the matter at a media conference on the latest COVID-19 situation at Dewan Al-Afiah, Ministry of Health, yesterday afternoon.

 

Two cases are in Category 4, while 30 cases have recovered, taking the total recovered cases to 141,836. 1,052 cases remain active, whereby 26 are currently being treated in hospitals and 1,026 are on home self-isolation. The Minister of Health also stated that 57.2 percent of children in the 5 to 11 age group have received the first dose of COVID-19 vaccine and 8.3 percent have obtained the second dose. Meanwhile, 66.3 percent of the country's total population have received three doses of the vaccine.
