A vehicle was detained during an 'Operasi Sepadu' conducted by the Halal Food Control Division, Syariah Affairs Department, Ministry of Religious Affairs and the Royal Customs and Excise Department for carrying prohibited items. The operation was made in the parking area of one of the supermarkets in Kampung Mentiri.

During the inspection, 200 kilograms of meat, 10 kilograms of cow lungs and 59 kilograms of chicken tails without a halal import permit were found in the vehicle. All the prohibited items were confiscated and the case was handed over to the Royal Customs and Excise Department for further investigation and action.
