The Embassy of The Islamic Republic of Iran in the country organised an Iran Cultural Week. Held until the 3rd of June, the event takes place at Universiti Brunei Darussalam, UBD Corp Sendirian Berhad.

The event was officiated by Dayang Hajah Nor Ashikin binti Haji Johari, Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports. Earlier, Her Excellency Homeira Rigi Zirouki, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of The Islamic Republic of Iran to Brunei Darussalam in her remarks said that Iran is a country with a rich culture and civilization of seven thousand years. Various handicraft and foods are exhibited at the event. Members of the public can also watch Iranian movies at the theatre hall from 2 to 3.30 in the afternoon.
