142 first doses of COVID-19 vaccine were given to children aged 5 to 11, bringing the total first dose vaccinations administered to 34,897 doses, which is 81.3 percent. Meanwhile, 860 second doses of the vaccine were administered to children in the same age group, taking the total second dose administered to 21m806 doses, which is 50.8 percent. This was stated by the Minister of Health at a media conference on the latest COVID-19 situation yesterday afternoon at Dewan Al-Afiah, Ministry of Health. Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Doctor Haji Awang Mohd Isham bin Haji Jaafar stated that 70.8 percent of the country's population have received 3 doses of the vaccine.

Meanwhile, 367 new cases have been reported. 366 were results from ART tests, and 1 case was a result of 256 RT-PCR laboratory tests. This brings the total cases reported to 149,337. 2 cases in Category 4, while 220 cases have recovered, taking the total recovered cases to 147,284. 1,830 cases remain active, in which 6 are currently treated in hospitals, and 1,824 others are currently undergoing home self-isolation.
