The Department of Energy at the Prime Minister's Office, yesterday morning launched the Human Resource Competency Framework as part of the Energy Week event at the Brunei Mid-Year Conference and Exhibition, Brunei MYCE 2022. The Framework was established as a strategic human resource development mechanism for the Department of Energy, Department of Electrical Services, Petroleum Authority and The Safety, Health and Environment National Authority, SHENA in assisting workforce capacity and competency growth in line with energy sector development.

 

The launching was officiated by Dato Seri Paduka Awang Haji Matsatejo bin Sokiaw, Deputy Minister at the Prime Minister's Office. Dayang Norashikin binti Mohd Salleh, Director of the Human Resources and Corporate Division at the Department of Energy in her speech said by defining performance standards at the required level of competence, the framework serves to close any competency gaps.  Meanwhile, Dayang Surainee @ Siti Rahmah binti Haji Mansur, Acting Special Duties Officer Grade Two at the Department of Energy said the framework would enable staff to coordinate their own competency assessments.
