In today's evolving world, cooperation is a key variable in ensuring successful development and economic growth. Only by working hand in hand and standing shoulder to shoulder, will we be able to translate potential opportunities into tangible benefits and ensure a win-win outcome for everyone involved. Thus, the Deputy Minister of Finance and Economy said the continued support of the Sultanate of Oman through its Embassy in the country is greatly appreciated. Awang Haji Khairuddin bin Haji Abdul Hamid explained the matter at The Sultanate of Oman-Brunei Darussalam Cooperation Dialogue Investment Forum, yesterday morning. The forum was held at Universiti Brunei Darussalam.

The speech text was read by Doctor Dayang Hajah May Fa'ezah binti Haji Ahmad Ariffin, Permanent Secretary for Economy at the Ministry of Finance and Economy as representative of the Deputy Minister of Finance and Economy. Earlier, His Excellency Sheikh Ahmed bin Hashil Al Maskari, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Sultanate of Oman to Brunei Darussalam in his welcoming remarks said that both countries have signed an agreement to establish 100 million US Dollars investment fund in 2009 which is shared by the two Sultanates.  Also held were 2 presentations by Manager of Economic Diversification Investment of Oman Investment Authority and General Manager of Comquest Sendirian Berhad.
