UBD Taekwondo Club Receive Visit From Curtin University Taekwando Club

The Universiti Brunei Darussalam (UBD) Taekwondo Club recently received a visit by a delegation from Curtin University Taekwondo Club, Miri, Sarawak.

 


According to a press release, the delegation which was led by the Chairperson Ling Chung Hong attended a training session, conducted by UBD Taekwondo Club last Sunday which was held at the Female Hostel Hall, UBD.

 


Among the activities that were conducted during the session are basic stretching,warming-up, kicking techniques as well as Poomse movements.

 


One of the objectives of the visit that was initiated by Curtin University Taekwondo Club was to learn and exchange knowledge in training techniques, pedagogies and skills that can be used by both clubs in training their club members. The session was also joined by executive members and coaches from the Brunei Darussalam Taekwondo Association (BDTA).

 


The session ended with a closing ceremony and the presentation of souvenirs to Curtin University Taekwondo Club.

 


Ahmad Waridi bin Hj Ahmad, Head Coach of UBD Taekwondo Club, in his speech praised Curtin University for its initiative to visit Brunei and its willingness to learn different styles of training that can be implemented and hopes that such activities can help build a harmonious relationship between clubs.
