The Weights and Measures Unit, SDT, Industry and Business Ecosystem Division under the Ministry of Finance and Economy operates a Mobile Testing Service on measuring and weighing instruments at the Jerudong Market.

As a result of the service, the SDT Unit has registered thirteen units of measuring and weighing instruments. In the past twelve months, the unit has conducted the service eleven times which focuses on traders who conduct business at market and seasonal sales stalls to ensure that measuring and weighing tools are registered, valid and accurate. As an additional service, suppliers who have over ten units of measuring and weighing equipment, can make an appointment for inspection and review on their measuring and weighing equipment at their respective business premises before being marketed to customers.
