Business owners who plan to run beauty and health establishments are required to register their business that falls under the Beauty and Health Establishment Order 2016 implemented by the Ministry of Home Affairs on January 1.

The was shared by Haji Mohammad Sunadi bin Haji Buntar, Deputy Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Home Affairs (MoHA) during a press conference held yesterday at the ministry's building in Bandar Seri Begawan.

Among thetypes ofbusiness under the order include aerobic facial and body treatment, gymnasiums, hair salons and spas.

After being registered with the Registry of Companies and Business Names (ROCBN) at the Ministry of
Finance and receiving their license, business owners may start operating their establishments within one working day.

However, these types of businesses must comply with the `Regulations for beauty and health establishments, Brunei Darussalam' that was endorsed by the MoHA or face suspension or having their licence revoked.

Applications to have businesses registered may be submitted to the MoHA counter located at the Registrar of Companies and Business Names, Ministry of Finance, Commonwealth Drive.

Those wanting to renew business licenses may apply at the Business Support Centre, First Floor, Design and Technology Building, Simpang 32-37, Anggerek Desa Technology Park. More information is available at www.home-affairs.gov.bn.
