(KPL) President Thongloun Sisoulith received in Vientiane on Aug 24 Vietnamese Minister of Public Security Gen. To Lam as the latter is on his working visit to Laos.

President Thongloun, who is also Secretary General of the Lao People’s Revolutionary Party, highly valued the visit of the Vietnamese official and his delegation as a significant contribution to strengthening the great friendship, special solidarity and comprehensive cooperation between the two Parties, governments and peoples of Laos and Vietnam.

In reply, the Vietnamese minister informed the Lao leader about the results of his meeting with his Lao counterpart and reaffirmed that the Vietnamese side will do its best to continue comprehensive cooperation with its Lao counterparts, contributing to fostering great friendship, special solidarity and comprehensive partnership between the two nations.

On the same day, the Vietnamese minister also paid a courtesy call to Prime Minister Phankham Viphavanh in Vientiane.
