A business premise was issued a compound fine by the Department of Economic Planning and Statistics, DEPS, Ministry of Finance and Economy.

The company was compounded to $500 fine for violating the provisions under the Price Control Act, Chapter 142. The results of the DEPS inspection through the Department of Consumer Affairs found that Green Mart Sendirian Berhad committed the offence of displaying misleading product prices, where eight types of goods in the business premises had price tags that were not in line with the prices in the payment system.
