Use of Sultan Haji Omar 'Ali Saifuddien Bridge

The Sultan Haji Omar 'Ali Saifuddien Bridge Management Committee, co-chaired by the Ministry of Transport and Infocommunications and the Ministry of Development and guided by the Press Statement dated 3rd August 2022 informed on the updating of the use of Sultan Haji Omar 'Ali Saifuddien Bridge.

 

Permission to use the bridge is given to all vehicle classes registered in Brunei Darussalam. Only private or commercial foreign registered vehicles equivalent to Brunei vehicle classes I, III, IV, VI and XII are allowed to pass through the bridge. While foreign registered commercial vehicles equivalent to classes II and V that have loads of over 3,500 kilogrammes are NOT ALLOWED to use the Sultan Haji Omar 'Ali Saifuddien Bridge and are advised to use the authorised road which is the ASEAN HIGHWAY 150 or AH150, commonly used at this time. Road users must obey the speed limit of 100 kilometres per hour for regular vehicles while the speed limit for commercial vehicles is 80 kilometres per hour.
