BERAKAS

Management procedures for handling the deceased who died due to COVID-19 have also been updated. The Minister of Health stated the deceased will no longer need to be managed at the National Isolation Centre.

This can now be done at the mosque or at home as per the family's wish, in accordance to the set guidelines such as wearing face masks, gloves, apron and eye protection while handling the body. However, the deceased cannot be brought or managed at homes that have any positive cases. The deceased can now be buried in any suitable cemetery as per the family's wish, and ART testing is not required for any deaths that occur at home and can be handled normally. Meanwhile, operating hours for the Swab Centre at the Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Saleha Hospital and SARI Centre of the Suri Seri Begawan Hospital in Kuala Belait is now from 8 in the morning to 5 in the afternoon during on working days, and are closed on Fridays, Sundays and public holidays.
