​Efforts to instil a love for reading among the citizens and residents in the country continue to be carried out through the 'Empower Reading Culture Carnival'. Organised by the Language and Literature Bureau, the carnival is extended to the Temburong District Language and Literature Bureau's Library.

The 3-day carnival is open from 9 in the morning to 5 in the afternoon. Several activities were held such as the Kahoot Interactive Quiz, colouring and crafts, and 'Mari Membaca' activity. The carnival also feature several other activities such as Brunei Traditional Games and sports book fair. According to the district's assistant librarian, the carnival also encourages lifelong learning through various mediums.
