BERIBI

Mental Health is not only vital for a productive workplace but it is also the core of well-being, the foundation that allows an employee and employer alike, to lead fulfilling lives in and out of work. Put simply, there is no health without mental health. Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Nazmi bin Haji Mohamad, Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports, stated this at the 'Mental Health and Wellbeing in the Workplace' event yesterday morning. The event in conjunction with World Mental Health Day was held at a hotel in Kampung Beribi.

The event continued with a forum "Taking the lead in Mental Health discussion at the Workplace" facilitated by two panel speakers. Meanwhile, His Excellency Luke Arnold, Australian High Commissioner to Brunei Darussalam in his remarks among others said Brunei Darussalam and Australia have been cooperating very closely on a range of mental health issues and both countries are taking actions on mental health cooperation. The event was organised by a counselling and coaching company.
