In the past one week, the number of COVID-19 cases reported in Brunei Darussalam shows a slight increase from the previous week, with the average daily rate of cases at 437 cases per day last week, compared to 388 cases per day in the previous week.

 

The Minister at the Prime Minister's Office and Second Minister of Finance and Economy during the COVID-19 Media Conference at Dewan Al-Afiah, Ministry of Health stated that the number of ART test results uploaded to the BruHealth application was less last week. Only, 17,083 ART results were uploaded, of which 17.6 per cent were positive. Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Dr. Awang Haji Mohd Amin Liew bin Abdullah also shared there is 1 case in category 5 which requires treatment in the Intensive Care Unit and 6 cases in Category 4 requiring oxygen assistance and under close supervision.

 

As of yesterday, the rate of vaccination coverage of COVID-19 in the country remains at a high level with 78.6 per cent of all citizens and residents have received the 3rd dose of the vaccine and 10.7 per cent also have received the fourth dose. 431 new cases have been reported, of which 427 cases are the result of ART and 4 cases are the result of 256 RT PCR laboratory tests.
