BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN

The potential active weather condition in Brunei Darussalam is still expected to occur especially tonight until 2nd November 2022. This is due to Brunei Darussalam being still in the inter-monsoon period, in which local wind effects play an important role in the country's daily weather.

The Brunei Darussalam Meteorological Department, BDMB in its press release informed as of 8 yesterday morning, Severe Tropical Storm NALGAE was observed at the South China Sea, approximately 1400 kilometres away from Brunei Darussalam. Severe Tropical Storm NALGAE is forecast to move North-westwards away from the country. In this regard, showers, heavy and gusty at times, are still expected to occur with wind speed of up to 60 kilometres per hour during or near heavy showers. Meanwhile, over Brunei waters, sea is at rough state, between 2 to 3 metres until the end of Stage One of the Marine Warning - Strong Wind and Rough Sea, which is on 3rd November 2022. The public, road users and fishermen, are advised to take necessary actions to ensure safety during active weather condition.
