​By the command of His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar Áli Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam, it is hereby announced by the Yang Di-Pertua of Adat Istiadat Negara that insya-Allah by the will of Allah Subhanahu Wata'ala, His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam will hold a Royal Wedding Ceremony for His Majesty's daughter, Her Royal Highness Princess 'Azemah Ni'matul Bolkiah binti His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah and Yang Amat Mulia Pengiran Muda Bahar ibni Duli Yang Teramat Mulia Paduka Seri Pengiran Digadong Sahibul Mal Pengiran Muda Haji Jefri Bolkiah.

The events for the Royal Wedding Ceremony will commence with the Majlis Istiadat Bersuruh Diraja which will be held on Sunday, 15th Jamadilakhir, 1444 corresponding to 8th January, 2023 and followed by ceremonies namely:

* Majlis Istiadat Membuka Gendang Jaga-Jaga and Majlis Istiadat Menjunjung Kurnia Gendang Jaga-Jaga on Monday, 16th Jamadilakhir, 1444 corresponding to 9th of January, 2023.

* Majlis Istiadat Menghantar Tanda Diraja dan Pertunangan Diraja, and Majlis Istiadat Menerima Tanda Diraja dan Pertunangan Diraja on Tuesday, 17th Jamadilakhir, 1444 corresponding to 10th of January, 2023.

* Majlis Istiadat Berbedak Pengantin Diraja on Wednesday evening, 19th of Jamadilakhir, 1444 corresponding to 11th of January, 2023.

* Majlis Istiadat Akad Nikah Diraja on Thursday, 19th of Jamadilakhir, 1444 corresponding to 12th of January, 2023.

* Majlis Istiadat Bersanding Pengantin Diraja on Sunday, 22nd of Jamadilakhir, 1444 corresponding to 15th of January, 2023.

* Majlis Persantapan Diraja on Monday evening, 24th of Jamadilakhir, 1444 corresponding to 16th of January, 2023.

* And, Majlis Istiadat Membaca Doa Selamat dan Menutup Gendang Jaga-Jaga will be held on Tuesday, 24th of Jamadilakhir, 1444 corresponding to 17th of January, 2023.

All citizens and residents of Brunei Darussalam are required to hoist the national flag as usual starting from the opening of the Gendang Jaga-Jaga on Monday, 16th Jamadilakhir, 1444 corresponding to 9th of January, 2023 until the closing of the Gendang Jaga-Jaga on Tuesday, 24th of Jamadilakhir, 1444 corresponding to 17th of January, 2023.
