Several areas in Brunei Muara District may experience water supply disruptions during the transition period of the monsoon season.

The Public Works Department, Ministry of Development in its press release informed that the disruption was not due to the closure of the water supply system, but the production of clean water supply from the Bukit Barun Water Treatment Plant was slightly affected due to the frequency of 'flushing' and purification activities at the plant which were being actively implemented. Activities are made to overcome the frequent changes that occur on the quality of the raw water of Sungai Tutong at this time.

The public is advised to fill clean water into water containers and for those who have tanks and private water filters should ensure that the equipment is always clean by doing "flushing" and "backwashing" routines.
