His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu'izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar 'Ali Saifuddien Sa'adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam has consented to send message of congratulations to Yang Amat Berhormat Dato' Seri Anwar Ibrahim on his appointment as the 10th Prime Minister of Malaysia.

In the message to Yang Amat Berhormat Dato' Seri, His Majesty expressed his confidence that under Yang Amat Berhormat Dato' Seri's leadership and integrity, Malaysia will always enjoy continuous development for the prosperity of its people. Furthermore, His Majesty looks forwards to the opportunity to work closely together with Yang Amat Berhormat Dato' Seri in further strengthening the existing close relations as well as to further enhance cooperation in various fields of mutual interest for the benefit of both countries and its people. In ending the message, His Majesty prayed that Allah Subhanahu Wata'ala would bless Yang Amat Berhormat Dato' Seri and Yang Amat Berbahagia Dato' Seri Doctor Wan Azizah binti Doctor Wan Ismail as well as his family with continuous good health and happiness and that the Malaysian people continued to enjoy long-lasting unity, stability and prosperity.
