(KPL) Lao National Document Department of Ministry of Home affairs in cooperation with Vietnamese Department of National Archives of the Ministry of Home Affairs organized an exhibition of historical documents and books "Lao-Vietnamese Special Relationship" to celebrate the Year of Laos-Vietnamese Friendship on November 23 at Ministry of Home affairs in Vientiane.

The event was attended by Mr. Thongchan Manixay, Minister of Home Affairs, Mr. Le Yochen, Counselor of Vietnamese Embassy to Laos and both sides of high-ranking officials.

Mr. Thongchan said that throughout the 60 years of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Laos and Vietnam and 45 years of the implementation of the Treaty of Friendship and Comprehensive Cooperation between Laos and Vietnam, the two countries of Laos and Vietnam have constantly elevated a special solidarity, comprehensive cooperation, both broad and deep, both at the central and local levels, which has been one of the important factors for the success and victory of the two countries, able to meet the interests of the people of the two nations well.

There are 266 historical documents, 60 photos, and 132 books featuring special relationship between Laos and Vietnam are on display.
