The royal wedding ceremonial events for His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam's daughter, Her Royal Highness Princess 'Azemah Ni'matul Bolkiah and Yang Amat Mulia Pengiran Muda Bahar ibni Duli Yang Teramat Mulia Paduka Seri Pengiran Digadong Sahibul Mal Pengiran Muda Haji Jefri Bolkiah that began on the 8th of this month came to a close with the Majlis Istiadat Membaca Doa Selamat and Menutup Gendang Jaga-Jaga at Istana Nurul Iman and Assana', Jerudong. The Majlis Istiadat Membaca Doa Selamat and Menutup Gendang Jaga-Jaga at Istana Nurul Iman took place yesterday afternoon.

The ceremony took place in the presence of Yang Amat Mulia Pengiran Lela Cheteria Sahibun Najabah Pengiran Anak Haji Abdul Aziz.

Four Awang-Awang entered the hall and placed the Dian Empat.

Yang Dimuliakan Pehin Orang Kaya Johan Pahlawan Dato Seri Setia Haji Awang Adanan informing Yang Amat Mulia Pengiran Lela Cheteria Sahibun Najabah that the Majlis Istiadat Membaca Doa Selamat and Menutup Gendang Jaga-Jaga was ready to begin.

Yang Amat Mulia Pengiran Lela Cheteria Sahibun Najabah instructed Yang Dimuliakan Pehin Orang Kaya Johan Pahlawan to seek an audience and inform likewise to His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam.

Yang Dimuliakan Pehin Orang Kaya Johan Pahlawan then sought an audience with His Majesty to seek consent for the ceremony to begin.

After acknowledging the titah, Yang Dimuliakan Pehin Orang Kaya Johan Pahlawan entered the hall and conveyed the titah to Yang Amat Mulia Pengiran Lela Cheteria Sahibun Najabah.

 Yang Amat Mulia Pengiran Lela Cheteria Sahibun Najabah then instructed for the ceremony to commence.

The Surat Zikir, Bantal Geguling and Pebarahan were brought in by three Awang-Awang and placed at a designated spot.

The ceremony began with the Zikir Syarafil Anam presented by Begawan-Begawan Pehin Khatib and Begawan-Begawan Mudim.

21 cannon shots reverberated and at the same time, the Royal Regalia were taken down one by one.

 Doa Zikir was read by Yang Dimuliakan Begawan Pehin Khatib Dato Paduka Haji Awang Hamidon.

 Doa selamat was read by Yang Berhormat Pehin Datu Seri Maharaja Dato Paduka Seri Setia Doctor Ustaz Haji Awang Abdul Aziz, the State Mufti.

Yang Dimuliakan Pehin Orang Kaya Johan Pahlawan informed Yang Amat Mulia Pengiran Lela Cheteria Sahibun Najabah that the ceremony had been duly carried out.

Yang Amat Mulia Pengiran Lela Cheteria Sahibun Najabah then instructed Yang Dimuliakan Pehin Orang Kaya Johan Pahlawan to seek an audience with His Majesty.

 Yang Dimuliakan Pehin Orang Kaya Johan Pahlawan proceeded to seek an audience with His Majesty to inform His Majesty that the ceremony had been duly carried out and to seek consent for the ceremony to be brought to a close.

 After acknowledging His Majesty's titah, Yang Dimuliakan Pehin Orang Kaya Johan Pahlawan entered the hall once again to convey the titah to Yang Amat Mulia Pengiran Lela Cheteria Sahibun Najabah.

Yang Amat Mulia Pengiran Lela Cheteria Sahibun Najabah then instructed for the ceremony to be closed.
