Prime Minister Of Malaysia Official Visit

His Royal Highness Prince Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah ibni His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu'izzaddin Waddaulah, the Crown Prince and Senior Minister at the Prime Minister's Office, as Personal Representative of His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam, and Her Royal Highness Paduka Seri Pengiran Anak Isteri Pengiran Anak Sarah binti Pengiran Haji Salleh Ab. Rahaman were at the Brunei International Airport yesterday afternoon, to welcome the arrival of Yang Amat Berhormat Dato' Seri Anwar Ibrahim, the Prime Minister of Malaysia and spouse, Yang Amat Berbahagia Dato' Seri Dr. Wan Azizah Dr. Wan Ismail, as well as their delegation who are in Brunei Darussalam for a two-day Official Visit. Also present to welcome Yang Amat Berhormat and spouse were Yang Berhormat Pehin Datu Lailaraja Retired Major General Dato Paduka Seri Haji Awang Halbi bin Haji Mohd. Yussof, Minister at the Prime Minister's Office as Minister-in Attendance, and spouse.

 

The Official Welcoming Ceremony began with the national anthems of both countries.

 

Yang Amat Berhormat then inspected the Guard of Honour mounted by members of the Royal Brunei Armed Forces.

 

Yang Amat Berhormat was then introduced to Cabinet Ministers; Deputy Ministers; Commissioner of the Royal Brunei Police Force and spouse; Commander of the Royal Brunei Armed Forces and spouse; Foreign Envoys in Brunei Darussalam; and Permanent Secretaries from the Prime Minister's Office and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

 

His Royal Highness the Crown Prince and Her Royal Highness Paduka Seri Pengiran Anak Isteri were then introduced to the Malaysian delegation which includes Yang Berhormat Dato' Seri Diraja Dr. Zambry Abdul Kadir, Minister of Foreign Affairs and spouse.

 

Also in attendance at the Brunei International Airport were Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Erywan bin Pehin Datu Pekerma Jaya Haji Mohd. Yusof, Second Minister of Foreign Affairs, and spouse; Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Ahmaddin bin Haji Abdul Rahman, Minister of Home Affairs, and spouse; Dato Seri Paduka Awang Haji Sufian bin Haji Sabtu, Deputy Minister at the Prime Minister's Office, and spouse; Retired Brigadier General Dato Seri Pahlawan Awang Haji Abdul Razak bin Haji Abdul Kadir, Deputy Minister of Defence; His Excellency Retired Brigadier General Dato Paduka Haji Mahmud bin Haji Saidin, High Commissioner of Brunei Darussalam to Malaysia, and spouse; and His Excellency Raja Dato' Reza bin Raja Zaib Shah, High Commissioner of Malaysia to Brunei Darussalam, and spouse.

 

During the Official Visit, Yang Amat Berhormat the Prime Minister of Malaysia and spouse as well as delegation are expected to have an audience with His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam and Her Majesty Duli Raja Isteri at Istana Nurul Iman tomorrow. This marks the first official visit by Yang Amat Berhormat the Prime Minister of Malaysia to Brunei Darussalam since his appointment as the Prime Minister of Malaysia on 24th November 2022.
