The Chancellor's Trophy encourages students to be active including in cultural and sports activities apart from increasing understanding between all higher education institutions in the country. The Chancellor's Trophy 2022 Closing Ceremony was held on 18th March afternoon, at the Royal Berkshire Hall, Royal Brunei Polo and Riding Club in JerudoUniversiti Brunei Darussalam, UBD was crowned champion of the Chancellor's Trophy 2022, while Sultan Sharif Ali Islamic University, UNISSA and Universiti Teknologi Brunei UTB placed second and third respectively. Prizes were presented by Yang Berhormat Datin Seri Setia Doctor Dayang Hajah Romaizah binti Haji Mohd. Salleh, Minister of Education.

The function continued with the handover of the Chancellor's Trophy host by Datin Paduka Professor Doctor Dayang Hajah Zohrah binti Haji Sulaiman, Vice Chancellor of UTB to Doctor Hazri bin Haji Kiflie, Vice Chancellor of UBD.
