RBPF Report Senior Citizen Struck With Machete, Not True

The Royal Brunei Police Force (RBPF) is currently investigating a case in which a 68-year-old senior citizen sustained injuries to her face and head in an incident that took place on Thursday in Kampong Pengkalan Batu Jalan Mulaut in Limau Manis.

 


The case was reported to the Limau Manis Police Station.

 


The victim's photo and a brief description of the incident went viral. However, the RBPF has clarified that the information that was spreadwas not true.

 

Following an investigation, the RBPF has clarified that the victim was struck with a solid object and not by a machete as stated in the viral message.

 


Members of the public are advised not to spread false information and also to always ensure that their residences and the surrounding areas are secure They should also inform their neighbours if their house will be left vacant for a long period of time.

 


The case is still under police investigation.
