His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu'izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar 'Ali Saifuddien Sa'adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam has consented to bestow his personal gifts once again, to a total of 20,097 recipients nationwide comprising Special Needs, Orphans, the Poor and Recipients of Monthly Welfare Assistance in conjunction with Hari Raya Aidil Fitri celebration this year. The distribution of His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam's personal gifts is the 14th time it has been held to help ease the burden of certain groups in the country.

The ceremony will begin with the Distribution of the Personal Gifts by His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam's sons in all four districts, as personal representatives of His Majesty then followed by simultaneous distribution at several designated distribution centres in the four districts. Gracing the presentation ceremony of His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu'izzaddin Waddaulah, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam's Personal Gifts for the Brunei Muara District at the Istana Nurul Iman as His Majesty's personal representative was His Royal Highness Prince Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah ibni His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu'izzaddin Waddaulah, the Crown Prince and Senior Minister at the Prime Minister's Office.

The arrival of His Royal Highness Prince Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah at the Reception Hall of Istana Nurul Iman was greeted by Yang Berhormat Pehin Udana Khatib Dato Paduka Seri Setia Ustaz Haji Awng Badaruddin bin Pengarah Dato Paduka Haji Othman, Minister of Religious Affairs.

The ceremony began with the recital of Surah Al-Fatihah and Doa Selamat led by Yang Berhormat Pehin Orang Kaya Paduka Seri Utama Dato Paduka Seri Setia Haji Awang Salim bin Haji Besar.

At the ceremony, His Royal Highness Prince Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah consented to present the Personal Gift of His Majesty to 1,000 recipients from the Brunei Muara District.
