Sayyidina Umar Al-Khattab Secondary School (SMSUAK) held a Pathway after 'O' Level programme organised by the Counselling and Career Guidance Section of the Department of Schools.

The programme saw the turnouts of mostly Year 11 students of the school (both 'O' Level and BTEC candidates).

The event took place at the main auditorium as well as the AVA room of the school. The main purpose of the event was to disseminate information and provide exposure pertaining opportunities to enter higher educational institutions as well as the world of work that students can embark on after their GCE 'O' Levels.

In the programme, students were grouped into two, based on their End of Year 2015 examination results. Group 1 involved students who obtained four credits and less whereas Group 2 comprised those who achieved three credits and less.

Amongst agencies and booth displays partaking in the event were Department of Schools, IBTE, Politeknik Brunei (PB), Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF) Recruitment Unit, Micronet International College (MIC), Kemuda Institute (KI), LiveWIRE, Allied Science Profession (AHSP), Ministry of Health (MoH), Kolej IGS (KIGS), Laksamana College of Business (LCB), Royal Brunei Police Force (RBPF) and Dental Unit, Ministry of Health.
