​His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu'izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar 'Ali Saifuddien Sa'adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam and Her Majesty Duli Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Hajah Saleha binti Al-Marhum Pengiran Pemancha Pengiran Anak Haji Mohamed Alam left for Jeddah on 8th April night, for an Official Visit to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia which will begin on 9th April 2023. Accompanying His Majesty and Her Majesty Duli Raja Isteri were members of the Royal Family.

Prior to leaving Istana Nurul Iman, Doa Selamat was recited by Yang Berhormat Pehin Orang Kaya Paduka Seri Utama Dato Paduka Seri Setia Haji Awang Salim bin Haji Besar.

Present at His Majesty the Sultan's Flight Hangar in Rimba to bid farewell to His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam and Her Majesty Duli Raja Isteri were His Royal Highness Prince Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah, the Crown Prince and Senior Minister at the Prime Minister's Office; Her Royal Highness Paduka Seri Pengiran Anak Isteri Pengiran Anak Sarah binti Pengiran Haji Salleh Ab Rahaman; and His Royal Highness Prince Haji Jefri Bolkiah.

Also present at His Majesty the Sultan's Flight Hangar to bid farewell were the Speaker of the Legislative Council; Members of the Privy Council; Cabinet Ministers; Deputy Ministers; the Commissioner of Police, the Royal Brunei Police Force and the Commander of the Royal Brunei Armed Forces; with their respective spouses.
